I’ve reviewed several other modular building sets from the ‘non-traditional’ manufacturers. Recently, most of them have been 5 star. This one has some ‘issues’. There were missing pieces. Probably about 6. Since I’ve been building modulars since 2012, I had enough inventory to compensate for the missing parts. The building itself is stable. It is a vertical build. Meaning, you build one side of the structure and then the other side. Not floor by floor like on most sets. There are 4 sets of numbered bags. The bags labeled ‘1’ have about half the total parts in the set…..so, you’ll need a large table. The final 3 sets of bags are for the back side of the building and contain about half the total piece count…..much more manageable than the #1 bags. There are about 30 stickers, which is a necessity since they represent paintings. This set has a lot of interior detail. Unfortunately, I found a lot of the interior detail to be unstable and difficult to keep secured in place. On of my least favorite details was having to attach about 98 1x1 pieces to a combination of 2 plates to form one of the ‘works of art’. Almost all were the 1x1 ‘cheese wedge’ pieces. Tedious. There are a couple of other buildings in the series that resemble this one. I’ll pass. With that said, I’ve found most of the sets made by the non-traditional manufactures are 5 star and I’ll be ordering more. I won’t show as a ‘verified purchaser’ as this was received as a gift. This item was so much better than expected. Pieces are no different than Lego. The ONLY difference in building, is that the bricks are not separated. You must sort ALL the bricks before building which is time consuming, but worth it in my opinion!
