This is a great, strong, classic vibrator. I have a Plum one and I love it. It is quite powerful and rumbly with both motors on. I am a power seeker, so I know power. And YES, it is fully waterproof- but only if you get a genuine Lelo product and not a fake, which are unfortunately rampant on Amazon. Amazon does not control every seller and you may get a fake item, even one that looks very convincing. The real one should come with a small plastic card inside that has a barcode, a serial number, and the exact product name and color that you have on the back, and a Lelo logo on the front of the card. Lelo uses an outer box that is colored with the color of the product you chose, with a picture of the item on the back on a white background. Inside that will be a sturdy cardboard box (black for the Elise) that has the Lelo logo embossed on the top lid. It will also come with a silky black drawstring bag and a packet Lelo branded lubricant, in addition to the instruction booklet and the charger. The real Elise 2 IS waterproof, I have had mine for over a year and used it many times in and out of water, and it's still going strong, with no weird "silicone peeling" like some people have mentioned. I have never had that issue on any of the other Lelos I own either. I would recommend buying directly from Lelo or an actual sex toy shop to make sure you get the real product. Amazon's prices are great but there is a cost. Buy from Amazon at your own risk, Also I think the older model Elise (#1) is only splash-proof (not submersible) so some people who had problems in water might have the genuine but older model. If you used the older model Elise in water and damaged it your claim will likely be rejected. And Lelo sends that email with the questions to everyone that submits a warranty claim. Come on now, they have every right to make sure you have a genuine warranty claim before they send you a brand new product at their expense. As long as you didn't drop it off a building or run over it with your car or something, there won't be a problem returning your defective Lelo to them. Again, unless you got a fake one, in which case you're SOL. Live and learn. It's not a big deal, just answer the questions and follow the directions. I did this on a Lelo Liv 2 that died on me. I answered the questions in the email, then they sent me a label to return the bad one. A few weeks after that I had a brand new Liv 2 and it has had no issues ever since. And yes, I have bought a couple of Lelos on Amazon before, I know the risk and I have so far not gotten a fake, but it can happen. I accepted the risk when I bought from Amazon. There are a lot of shady sellers on Amazon and anytime you have a high-end, expensive product that is popular, there will be a market for knock-offs. Even in sex toys. Bottom line, this is a wonderful and powerful toy, but if you are at all worried about the possibility of getting a bad one, then spend a bit more and get one from a reputable online sex toy shop or from Lelo's website.
